I figure it's about time, considering she was born in September, that I introduce Rylee! She is one of my newest Baby Plan babies so you will be seeing her adorable face again.
This weeks theme over at i heart faces is feet! What can be better then clean feet, Christmas PJ's and a newly decorated tree? Not much...
I haven't entered an i heart faces photo contest for awhile, but when I noticed the challange for this week I just had to enter. The fall color is long gone here in South Dakota, so this is from a session a few weeks ago. I love the family connection of this photo in the fall grasses with the red Sumac peeking through in the background.
Head on over to view more great enteries!

I can't express how excited I am to announce I now have a studio space to shoot in! It is downtown in the Crane Building in The Creative Co-Op's suite. I'll be sharing the space with a few other photographers.
Since the space is shared, we need to reserve spots. My goal is to get a consistent studio schedule, but right now I plan on reserving a few here and there to get a feel of what people want. If you would like an indoor session and have a date in mind, give me a call!
Family and/or child studio sessions will be priced as a mini session (the link will bring you to my session info), and are 45 minutes long. Newborn sessions done in studio will be a full session).
My first studio date is Saturday, November 5th. I have 3 sessions still available at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00. Contact me if you'd like one or if you want more info!
I'll be announcing a few more days soon, so make sure you either follow me on Facebook or subscribe to my newsletter.
I took Wes there this morning to get some practice with the space. I bribed him with lunch of his choice if he sat and cooperated for me. He sat nicely, but it's obvious by many of his expressions that he wasn't too happy about it!

I can't remember where I heard it, but somebody told me once that nerves are God's way of preparing you for something. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous going into this session. There were ELEVEN family members, my biggest session then, and the forecast was hot, humid and windy. In the end I had no reason to be nervous. Yes it was hot, and yes it was a bit breezy, but this family is great. Super fun, goofy and close. You can't go wrong with that!
Baby D was 7 days new when I met him, and unfortunately wasn't happy about getting his pictures taken. He was having an "I want to nurse all the time" kind of morning. You'll see these little cuties on the blog again soon as I recently did big brothers 3 year pictures.
Last year at MOPS, Melissa shared their family's adoption with us. Lexi was one at the time they adopted her and their story is amazing. I had the privilege of taking their family session just before her adoption was finial.
Thank you!
I seem to easily fall behind on my blogging. I photographed Miss Avery in June, but she is too cute not to blog about! She was born a month early and was the tiniest, sweetest little thing. Her mom designed my logo and all my marketing material. You should check her out on facebook. She did a wonderful job!
