The boys have been bugging me to take them ice skating all winter. But the thought of taking all three of them out skating for the first time was frightening. However, today was too nice to stay inside, so after school I braved the adventure.
Will was certain he knew how to skate before he even went out and he was determined to do it with out help. One lap of holding my hand was all the help he wanted. My "careful" child went out alone and did great!
Wyatt's goal was to eat as much ice and snow as possible. He also decided that today he was NOT going to get his picture taken and turned yelling "no, no, no, no" when he saw the camera.
I had a fun session this afternoon in celebration of this little man's first birthday!
This weeks theme over at i heart faces is "innocent wonder" Head on over to view other fun entries!

This weeks topic is abandonment. I REALLY wanted to get out and search for some old buildings or vehicles, but the frigid cold temps changed my mind.
So, during baths tonight, I came up with this idea. An abandoned towel.
Though earlier today I wanted to abandon the child. He has developed a liking to throwing things... fits, balls, cups, toys, food..... but that is another story.

I can photograph these girls all day. They are super cute and love to pose!
We did a mini session for Audry's 5th birthday at the Museum of Visual Materials.
She was proud of her painted finger nails!
and a few of Isabelle to document her cuteness at 9 months.

I'm doing a photo a week project with Paint the Moon
The topic this week is "togetherness" and after quickly eliminating the idea of trying to get all three boys together, I choose Wyatt and his blankie since he is rarely without it.
There happened to be a photo challenge today as well. "What is your viewpoint?" (shooting from different angles) was the challenge.

This little peanut is one sweet little boy and adored by his big brother and sister. He was born in October and now that the birth announcements and Christmas cards are made and mailed out, I'm sharing his session.
His mom made the blanket he is laying on in the below picture. I LOVE it and might have to steal it when she's not looking!

Sweet baby C is two months old. I was a bit worried going into his session since a two month old can be a bit unpredictable. But, I had no need to worry, he was an angel during his session.
I came across Angie Warren's blog this morning. She found a lovely quote in the November issue of Anthropologie and challenged others to use the quote in a picture.
This photo, taken on Christmas Eve, immediately came to mind.

This was supposed to be a maternity session, but the sweet little girl decided to make an appearance a few weeks early.
Isn't she a doll? I LOVE her little pink Tutu.

I love the apple orchard and wanted to do a shoot there for some time. Janelle's family was the first to agree.
If you know this family, you know how great they are! Generous, thoughtful, caring.... I can go on and on. Thank you guys for having me as your photographer.
If you're in need of a preschool in the future check out Janelle's preschool, Room to Bloom, under my stars tab. My son Wes goes there. He LOVES it!
